Abba reunion event to mark 40th anniversary of Eurovision Song Contest win

Abba Reunion Tribute Show would bring the 40th Anniversary of Waterloo Tour to Hertfordshire this month, a few weeks following the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 takes place in Denmark capital Copenhagen. In the year 1974, a then little known pop group from Sweden reached to stardom with their Eurovision Contest winning track Waterloo.
After forty years, the track and the band behind it, Abba, remain as popular as they were decades ago in spite of not having unveiled any new music for over thirty years. The Swedish 4 piece split in the 80s and they have held out the temptation for a Money, Money, Money spinning tour ever since then.
In spite of the West End success of musical track Mamma Mia; the huge box office receipts for the film version starring Meryl Streep, Colin Firth, Pierce Brosnan, Julie Walters, Amanda Seyfried and Dominic Cooper, there is just a little hope of seeing the band members live again on stage.
No matter what happens, a tribute to Björn Ulvaeus, Agnetha Fältskog, Anni-Frid Lyngstad and Benny Andersson can be watched later this month in Stevenage. Abba Reunion Tribute Show is the brainchild of the original director, choreographer and producer of the award winning Abbamania West End musical and it stars the original ‘Frida’ from London cast.
People would be able to relish covers of classic tracks like, Knowing Me, Knowing You, Thank You For The Music and Take A Chance On Me.
